over new club shirts to Budleigh FC 2nd team manager Alex Freer.

Budleigh Football Club would like to thank Peter for his sponsorship for the forth coming season.

SECOND TEAM FIXTURES

We now have the fixture list and as soon as possible I will get them all added.  At present they only go to the end of March.  We have only 4 home league games in the period to the end of the year.  If we beat St Thomas in the first round of the Devon Senior Cup we will be at home in the second round against Bratton Fleming.  If we have a good cup run we could have only one blank Saturday up to the year end.  An early exit from the cups will lead to blank dates.

THE F A VASE

The draw for the first three rounds was made today and we have been quite lucky, with a bye in the first qualifying round, a home draw in the second qualifying round and, if we win that, a home draw in the first round proper.

Budleigh Salterton or Bodmin Town v.

Fairford or Plymouth Parkway

Our friends at Witney United have also been favoured with a bye and two home draws.  At least we have avoided them!  They are at home to Ringwood or Calne and if successful at home to Ardley united.

We are very pleased that Andy Ellett has been handed the Devon league Groundsman of the year award this season.  In a letter to the club from Devon F.A Mr Graham Gordon writes:-

"The inspection committee was very impressed with the hard work that your groundsman had given to the pitch and its good condition considering the recent weather and the obvious heavy use of the pitch."

We add our own congratulations to Andy and, as ever, our grateful thanks for the work he puts in.
