Although Budleigh were missing several key players from this fixture they still managed a good result which keeps them amonst the teams at the top of the league table having played fewer games.   A lively opening spell saw the robions go 1 - 0 up with only a minute on the clock.  Stuart Francis supplied a cross from the left wing slot and Andy Bennett made no mistake with a powerful header past Chris Higgs.  Another telling cross from Francis was handled in the box by Andrew Gage.  Up stepped man of the match Matt Byrne to convert the penalty and make it 2 - 0 on 20 minutes.  A few minutes later Alvin Pollard set up Danny Burwood who fired a shot past Higgs to make it 3 - 0.  Pollard then turned from provider to scorer when he picked up a loose ball in mid filed, cut clean through the Axminster defence and fired home past Higgs who had no chance.  The half time whistle could not come soon enough for the visitors with the score on 4 - 0.

The second half did not produce any more goals.  A lot of Robins pressure led to a few rash tackles and the tigers found themselves a man down when Adam Skelton was shown red for a two footed tackle on Danny Burwood.  Final score 4 - 0 to Budleigh.

This coming Saturday, 22 September, the Robins are at hiome to Cornish Penisular Premier side Bodmin Town in the F.A Vase second qualifying round.  Kick off for this game is 3pm.
