The Robins travelled to Ottery St Mary knowing another win would lift them clear at the top of the table by 3 points over Newton Abbot (who were in cup action) and 4 points clear of the Otters with 4 games in hand. But it took nearly half an hour to break down the stubborn Ottery defence. Then man of the match Anthony Osbourne chipped the ball into the 18 yard box for Danny Williams to hook the ball over Adrian Pullen for a 1 – 0 lead. The home side forced an equaliser when a slip in the Robins defence allowed Danny Minto to to go clear on goal. His chip over Chris Wright came back to him off the cross bar for an easy chip in. The Robins were unlucky not to retake the lead when a 25 yard shot from Hall cannoned back off the cross bar.
Chris Wright again did well on the hour mark when he saved an 18 yard shot from Minto. The Robins secured all three points when on 75 minutes Stuart Francis floated in a cross from the left and Hall was well positioned at the far post to bring the ball down and fire it home.
This week the Robins have a home league match against Plymstock. Kick Off 2.45pm.
